When Rolls-Royce Motor Cars sought to celebrate Black Badge - the brand’s bold alter-ego - they did not want a traditional campaign. They wanted something darker. Edgier. More visceral.
Black Badge is not merely a specification; it is a state of mind. I was commissioned to translate this philosophy into a fully immersive, multi-sensory campaign - one that would allow guests to feel the power, grace and defiant spirit of Black Badge through sound, scent, texture, light and taste.

Black Badge represents the alter-ego of the classic Rolls-Royce - unapologetically powerful, highly personalised and contemporary.
I conceived and delivered a fully immersive gastronomic theatre experience, a darkened sensory journey through the DNA of Black Badge. From arrival soundscapes, to interactive digital dining tables, custom cocktails, scent choreography, haptic plating and precision lighting design, every detail was curated to embody the campaign ethos: Bolder in Black.

The Highlights
From the moment of invitation to arriving in Black Badge vehicles, immersed in a bespoke soundscape inspired by pine forests, ghostly spectres and fleeting gasps of the ethereal Wraith, and every moment throughout the event was carefully curated to physically represent the experience of a Rolls-Royce.
A Fully Bespoke, Gastronomic Adventure
I designed a custom cocktail wall to embody the customisation and spirit of Black Badge as guests were invited to ‘Release Their Inhibitions.’ Guests created their own gin and sake blends, selecting unexpected botanical garnishes - sour, umami, smoky, bold - echoing the personalisation options of Black Badge.

The Dining Concept
From the surface, it appeared a traditional dining table. Once seated, it awakened -revealing cinematic Black Badge graphics, integrated sound, and immersive brand messaging beneath crystal and porcelain.
I created a menu as a seven-act narrative, each course representing an exclusive feature of Black Badge.
Flexitarian Personalisation — guests curated their own plate from luxury ingredients.

Dessert — single estate Colombian bitter chocolate with molten persimmon and gunpowder sherbert.

Foraging — Haptic luxury, smoked Japanese mushroom broth.

The Result
