The Ultimate House and Garden Party
Meadows on The Mound and The Day the Circus came to Town.
Transforming an at-home party into a fully immersive experience is the kind of dream event I love to design. With creative freedom, vast expanses of land to explore, a hedge maze to wander through, and a stately home as my canvas, this installation was destined to be anything but ordinary. Layered with themes and bursting with originality, this wasn’t just a party – it was an enchanted experience.

This was more than a celebration; it was a joyful fusion of adventure, indulgence, and surprise.
I threaded captivating narratives throughout the event, crafting experiences that delighted both adults and children alike. Every detail was designed to astonish, from culinary delights to unexpected moments. The result? A weekend festival of pure joy, where every corner brimmed with magic and excitement. With Hobbiton 'mounds' sprining from the ground, to a vintage funfair, the design was a curious spectacular of colour and joy.
The central theme woven through every aspect of this event was pure merriment, and togetherness. My aim, as a designer, was to cultivate a vibrant asthethtic, a constant hum of colour. Characters would unexpectedly appear, keeping guests enchanted, while set design told their story as interactive staging environments. This festival was designed to captivate all in attendance, offering an array of surprises to satisfy every whim and desire, ensuring that no guest could resist the joy and magic of the celebration.

My client’s deep love for meadow flowers blossomed into the heart of the design, elevating the entire experience into something truly organic and magical.
I crafted bespoke food stations on the front lawns that appeared as if they had naturally sprung from the earth itself, like mounds covered in lush clusters of wildflowers. Drawing inspiration from the whimsical realms of Hobbiton, Alice in Wonderland, and cabinets of curiosities, these installations were a celebration of the curious, decorative, and the enchanting. The "Meadows on the Mounds" were surrounded by a symphony of colour and texture - vintage sofas, curated objects, and inviting props created an idyllic scene for guests to explore and relax.
As a Producer
I art directed, conceived and produced the full design of this event. Each element was bespoke and made in my workshop, installed and supervised by me.
Immersive Curation
This house and garden party unfolded across a series of enchanting zones, each offering something new and exciting for guests to discover. Inside the stately home, we transformed rooms into a private members’ club-style cocktail bar inspired by Sherlock Holmes. Outside, the sprawling pasture fields came alive with the joyful energy of a full funfair and circus, all designed under my guidance.
Complex Logistics
This event will be remembered as the ultimate celebration, where magic, adventure, and indulgence combined to create a truly extraordinary and unforgettable experience. Not least because of the visual elements, but also because of the smooth execution of all logistics which I tackled like one big performance. With so many moving parts, it was crucial for this element to be as impressive as the design.
The Highlights
As if the earth had opened up to reveal her treasures, the atmosphere was one of natural wonder. Alice herself, accompanied by an eclectic cast of curious characters, entertained guests with captivating performances that transformed bodies into living canvases of art.
The Botanical Bar and Band
Meanwhile, the botanical bar delighted with imaginative cocktails, and a big band played lively tunes from within a grand, oversized birdcage. Guests revelled in making terrariums, floral crowns, and splashing in the pool with a DJ—all part of an unforgettable, whimsical celebration of nature’s beauty and creative indulgence.

The Sherlock Holmes Cocktail Lounge
The design for this cocktail lounge was a masterclass in timeless elegance, drawing inspiration from the literary world and the intrigue of Sherlock Holmes himself. Stepping into this immersive space, one could almost imagine Mr. Holmes unravelling a mystery, with the hand-picked objects and décor quietly whispering clues in an elaborate game of ‘Who Dun’ It’ or Cluedo. Every detail told a story, creating an air of suspense and charm.

The Greatest Showman
The festivities carried on into the late afternoon, where guests were greeted by an extraordinary vintage funfair and circus - a dazzling tribute to "The Greatest Showman." It was an explosion of colour, sound, and flavour. Classic funfair rides like a towering Ferris wheel, an elegant carousel, and lively dodgems took centre stage, while magnificent circus animal - sculptures that I made entirely of flowers - added a magical touch, standing proudly beside the cast of actors, balloon artists, and whimsical performers.
